About

I've been photographing the night sky since 2003. I started out in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, with a ToUcam Pro webcam and a lot of patience, and over the years there I worked my way through a Canon 10D, a modded Canon 300D, an SBIG ST2000XM, and a Canon 5D. After a quieter spell in Lennoxtown from 2009, I moved to Bishopbriggs in 2018, just outside Glasgow, where I now image with a ZWO ASI 585MC and an SV550 on an EQ6-R Pro. The kit has changed plenty over twenty years. What hasn't changed is the thrill of watching a faint smudge turn into a galaxy or nebula on screen. This site collects some of my favourites from along the way.
